Interior design project for the first floor of Joalharia do Carmo on Rua do Carmo, Lisbon. A private sales floor for exclusive pieces and high jewellery, set as a counterpoint to the main store below. The studio led the work from concept to full finishes specification, opening the line for the brand's new direction.
A saturated palette and a refined materiality. The route resolves into two contiguous moments: a silk tent — intimate and sensorial, scaled for the contemplation of the pieces — and a desk area in support of the sale. The commercial zone takes the more exuberant register; the tent introduces a contemplative pause.
A silk tent designed and made in the studio, set as the centrepiece of the space. Fabric-lined walls played against the ceiling. An integrated desk holds the functional layer of the sales experience. Sumptuous textiles and considered detailing assert the high-jewellery character and lay the ground for the brand's new visual language.
