Brief
Conversion of an office into a residence, within a characteristic building in Avenidas Novas. The residential brief moves between social and private areas, featuring the integration of a bespoke walk-in closet. The intervention respects the existing structure — from the high ceilings and historic stucco mouldings to the generous openings. It introduces fixed furniture as a structural element for each room.
A neutral palette with denser accents in the private areas. The materiality combines lacquered surfaces with vertical slats, natural stone, and wood.
Elements and materials
Bespoke fixed furniture designed and crafted in Portuguese workshops: integrated bookcases with shelving, storage furniture in the hallway, and office furniture. In the master suite, the design and execution of a walk-in closet. Original flooring recovered and decorative stuccoes restored.
