Joalharia do Carmo — Rua das Flores
Brief
Jewellery store in the historic centre of Porto, in a narrow and long 130 sqm space. The concept deconstructs the closed model of a jewellery store and structures a sensory circuit, without a fixed route, for gradual discovery. It is organised into four acts, navigable in any order — Hearts of Viana, Elements of Nature, Innovation, and Capsule and High Jewellery Collections — each dedicated to a filigree collection.
Palette and progression
Progression from saturated to restrained. At the entrance, a portico of colour, layers and overlays; throughout the route, each act with its own chromatic key, leading to red and bordeaux, and the restraint of High Jewellery. A draped silk ceiling, extending down the walls, unifies the space.
Elements and materials
Bespoke furniture and display cases; coverings and drapes in selected textiles; visual identity and illustrations developed from scratch by the studio.
