Conversion of a building originally used as offices into a residence, in a characteristic Avenidas Novas building in Lisbon. Residential brief articulated between social and private zones, with an integrated bespoke walk-in closet. The intervention respects the existing structure (high ceilings, historic plasterwork mouldings, generous openings) and introduces built-in furniture as a structuring element of each room.
Base palette of bege neutrals and stone-whites in the social areas, animated by deeper tones (moss green, brass) in the more intimate zones. Materiality combines lacquered surfaces with vertical fluted textures, natural stone and wood.
Built-in furniture designed bespoke and crafted in Portuguese workshops: integrated shelving with cantilever shelves, storage benches with vertical fluted fronts, and a walk-in closet with mirrored doors and wood veneer. Original wooden flooring restored and plaster mouldings refurbished.
